@  deekayzero : (04 July 2018 - 08:05 AM) there's been some amusing memes c coming out of the whole thing for sure. i'm not really following it direcrtly myself tho XD
@  Nobody : (03 July 2018 - 07:24 PM) football = soccer
@  Nobody : (03 July 2018 - 07:24 PM) and I live in a country where football isn't highly appreciated so I can't even joke about it with anybody I know here lol
@  Nobody : (03 July 2018 - 07:22 PM) btw - grats to Belgium on their win over Japan. My Japanese friend was SUPER disappointed after Japan threw the match with Poland and then they were beat by the "country of chocolate"
@  deekayzero : (30 June 2018 - 01:43 AM) i'm sorry to hear that templar
@  AionTemplar : (22 June 2018 - 12:34 PM) My dad passed away last year as well, in spring
@  deekayzero : (19 June 2018 - 10:27 AM) the matresses being for jose and orange and their share of the party favours are mid transit which is also nicely taken care of.
@  deekayzero : (19 June 2018 - 10:26 AM) have ten lawn chairs sitting here, new cooler, 2 fold up mattresses, 5 packs of a specific brand of roling paper, (party favours), and i forget what else on order ahead of it.
@  deekayzero : (19 June 2018 - 10:25 AM) anyways finished up everything i need to prepare for my guild meet up in 6 weeks except for having cold beers ready for a couple of the boys for when they arrive at the house.
@  deekayzero : (19 June 2018 - 10:24 AM) i "reconnected" with some old irl friends recently adn they're just a couple years younger than i am but i knew them when i was young so i keep thinking of them as kids even tho some of them have kids themselves lol
@  Nobody : (19 June 2018 - 05:51 AM) i hope we all live to call everybody kids :sparkles:
@  Nobody : (19 June 2018 - 05:50 AM) because the other guy was in his 90s
@  Nobody : (19 June 2018 - 05:50 AM) guy was around 62ish, but he went to see another contractor and the guy called him a kid!
@  Nobody : (19 June 2018 - 05:50 AM) It's ok. I've come to the conclusion that's just the way life is. Reminds me of a contractor I had when I first moved into the house...
@  deekayzero : (19 June 2018 - 05:45 AM) i'm sorry snoozle :(
@  Nobody : (19 June 2018 - 05:16 AM) and there's nobody to discuss major house projects with anymore either
@  Nobody : (19 June 2018 - 05:11 AM) oh Aion, I lost mine last year. It was tough this year, because he was the one that I always ate shrimp with. I miss eating shrimp!
@  AionTemplar : (17 June 2018 - 10:31 AM) Happy fathers day, I still miss mine :(
@  deekayzero : (17 June 2018 - 08:53 AM) happy fathers day!
@  Nobody : (17 June 2018 - 05:25 AM) happy father's day everybody!
@  deekayzero : (13 June 2018 - 09:18 AM) the tes6 teaser is absolutely nothing of value in my opinion. and only exists to mollify the curretn social media trend of whining about games being multiplayer and online.
@  deekayzero : (13 June 2018 - 09:17 AM) fo76 looks hilarious in a number of ways, and i'm kind of surprised people think bethesda would produce a more "AAA" product in the survival gank box genre than an indie on a low budget considering their long track record in the area of product quality looool
@  Nobody : (12 June 2018 - 05:42 AM) And ghost of tsushima looks awesome
@  Nobody : (12 June 2018 - 05:23 AM) so bethesda gave a really good showing at e3 with it's info that's also a lack of info lol
@  deekayzero : (27 May 2018 - 08:16 AM) this guy. lol
@  AionTemplar : (27 May 2018 - 07:06 AM) So Trump still plays Aion gameforge since it's P2W and P2W is the way to go?
@  deekayzero : (25 May 2018 - 06:00 AM) total biscuit died yday. and ofc the reddit karma whoring threads and for profit youtube video tributes were being shit posted within minutes of the announcement of that fact.
@  AionTemplar : (24 May 2018 - 02:48 PM) Nothing new today
@  deekayzero : (24 May 2018 - 06:54 AM) and in general just that nothing can ever be pay2win because you can never win in mmo's or at least not in pve apparently. which is awkward and really really sad that they take no pleasure from all the win states designed into these games which are the very basis of why they have such addictive qualities (which is also by design ofc).
@  deekayzero : (24 May 2018 - 06:53 AM) teh other fun thing the last couple weeks is new lows when it comes to defending one's favourite game from pay2win claims while often defining pay2win in such a way in their own words which is exactly the cash shop model of their favourite game they normally defend.
@  deekayzero : (24 May 2018 - 06:52 AM) funny thing about that isthe publisher tried to say some weird shit about the sub not being a subscription? it was weird and clumsy. but then a bunch of fans/viral marketting bots came and tried to double down on teh double speak there and it was funny af but also obnoxious.
@  deekayzero : (24 May 2018 - 06:52 AM) also people are excited for bless online for some reason i can't grasp. it's looks pretty generic and low budget korean mmo fodder that not even 3-4 years ago these people wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. i guess demanding totally unrelated to the mmo genre games become the quinteseential wow clone quest raid dungeon grinder they feedbacked the genre into a grave with hasn't been working out for them so well.
@  deekayzero : (24 May 2018 - 06:50 AM) and here i am like "the real controversy here is that they're shitting out yet another one of these shit shows already so soon after the last one they shit out. which to be fair it's been abotu six months since the last one i guess XD (is that being fair? :D)
@  deekayzero : (24 May 2018 - 06:50 AM) new rage of the week is the latest bf5 trailer and announcement. which is a ww2 game apparently. and has women in the trailer. so everyone upset with that one way or another.
@  Nobody : (22 May 2018 - 07:17 PM) there's just so much to rage about in life...
@  deekayzero : (18 May 2018 - 06:07 AM) everyone raging about cod blops4 being on bnet lol.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 06:35 PM) yep. i love that about minecraft.
@  Nobody : (13 May 2018 - 03:12 PM) you know what's cool about minecraft - if I don't like some drop rate or how some mod is working I just download it from github and change it...
@  Nobody : (13 May 2018 - 03:11 PM) tho some of the most fun I ever had was back with the old muds...
@  Nobody : (13 May 2018 - 03:11 PM) sometimes things happened in the older games that weren't necessarily intentional or cash related at all... because nobody knew entirely what they were doing I suspect. It was fun. I think they know what they're doing in milking money now mostly...
@  Nobody : (13 May 2018 - 03:08 PM) wow dk, I come back to my computer and need a tldr...
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 08:09 AM) the mmo industry has been first and foremost above all else abotu making revenue generation tools since the 80s. and they give zero fucks about your pretensions to fun or socailizing. any fun you might have is incidental and unintended. and antiscoial toxic behaiour is enouraged both in the game design and in their marketting efforts.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 07:33 AM) the ongoing history of the progession of this genre since the 80s is an ever increasing number of chocies that are anti fun anti consumer and all about the greed of the developers. and those developers are completely non chalant in their sense of entitlement to players moneys no matter the revenue model. f2p sub b2p cash shop or no it doesn't matter. every game in the gerne is designedfirst and foremost above all to extract capital from customers and any fun or positive experiences along the way are unintentional afterthoughts for these people.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 07:30 AM) the mmo genre, it's rockstar veteran developer heads, and the most visible vocal fans and the influencers who profit off their whining are all a pox on the premise of virtual worlds as online games. and they are front in center in shittign all over and killing it to feed their own selfishness.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 07:28 AM) and then you get bored mmo fandom feeling underserved so they start brigaging other games demanding those games be their typical wow clone trash they so crave and then shitting all over them en masse for not being the mmo they demiand despite the game in question never having been promoted as ever being anything like they decided it'[s trash for not being. and it's just absolutely bizzarre and absurd. like why does sea of theives need wow clone style content? why does wild west need mmo style pve servers and focus? it's rediculous. it's the transpoition of the olde "THIS GAME NEEDS RAIDS AND LADDER PVP OIR ELSE IT WILL FAIL" beyond hte mmo genre in hamfisted and awkward ways that are incredibly brain dead and willfully ignorant projections of their own entitlement into games they feel entitlement to demand ownership over despite not ever advertising ot pandering to the things they've decided they must have.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 07:23 AM) we played rift prime a couple months ago and they kept going on about "vanilla like experience" in terms of exp rates and shit, but it was vastly slower than vanilla launch era in every way. and why? because they thought they could milk subs if they made it even grindier than it was in 2011. it was completely transparent in an unintentional manner that that was the intention. they also nerfed drop rates of cosmetics from dungeons into the ground because it was "too generous" because apparently getting rewards for doing content without treating it like a 2nd full time job is being too nice to players in this fucking trash genre.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 07:01 AM) it's funny when i see reddit and the popular influencers posing as critics talk about this or that game's monetization scheme being a grindy cash grab when i play them and it's not even 1/10th what i can expect in any given mmo i've played over the past decade. often these games are a breath of fresh air in terms of how well they respect my time and wallet compared to what i'm accustomed to in the MMO genre and what i see so many peers defend so rigousously. the genre is an utter shit show of dystopian cynicism and lazy half assed greed. i don't even think many of the top lead developers like the genre or making games in it or the players of the genre very much at all based on thre products they produce in it.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 06:58 AM) mmoi genre is more well definied by it's shitty monetization driven design paradigms and progression than literally anything else. that is the singular defining element that makes the mmo genre a genre. it's not virtual worlds or large populations or action bars - it's shitty predatory revenue schemes. and it has always been that day since the days of aol/compuserve MUDs that cost $15 an hour logged in.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 06:56 AM) if anything the genre across the board regardless of revenue model has become far worse than what non mmo playing gamers complain about from other companies in other genres while progressively reneging on just about everything that made the mmo genre novel and interesting at all whatosver in their quest to further monetize every aspect of their games and prey upon those skinner box endorphin centers of the brain to maximize ROI while also being incredibly bankrupt and hipocrticial af on social media and their own private blogs
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 06:54 AM) and all of them have featured rich ande healthy RMT business operations as consumers have been spending to bypass the shitty obnoxious grinds fo these games longer than the term MMORPG has existed.
@  deekayzero : (13 May 2018 - 06:53 AM) all sub games and b2p mmo's are worse than any western made f2p game and often on a level with asian region f2p games for that kind of shit. aion was full of that shit long before it went f2p for example. i remember hoards of people happily downloading and using shitty free bot programs in aion because of the painful grindiness that started rather early (but just late enough that it would be easy to miss or ignore in the prevew "beta" weekends they did)> gw2 is b2p and the entire progression design and tuning is to get you spend money on gems. ffxiv is grindy af in tedious and obnoxiously dry ways that serves no narrative or fun focused purpose and is intended purely to gate your fun times and elongate your sub spending. wow is gated in such a way to keep you subbed. eve had timed progression to the point eve players would talk about how great it was that they didn't have to actually play to progress just sign in and train skills now and then.
@  Nobody : (13 May 2018 - 05:44 AM) but who am I to complain.... I'm playing minecraft because all the old good mods seem to be getting updated right now...
@  Nobody : (13 May 2018 - 05:41 AM) think about it as paying rather than playing. It's why I pretty much don't play f2p games at all. they're designed to have boring parts that I want to pay to get out of
@  deekayzero : (10 May 2018 - 07:14 AM) that'sis generally what the term pay2win means. LOL
@  Divinelysian : (01 May 2018 - 11:36 AM) but you can save a lot of time by spending a lot of real money yes
@  Divinelysian : (01 May 2018 - 11:35 AM) Aion eu was never p2w
